I am currently reading a book called, “Create Dangerously: The Immigrant Artist at Work” by Haitian-born writer Edwidge Danticat and I am loving it. In addition to the story-telling, Danticat speaks about the importance of breaking silences, self doubt, and writing through fear.

Be Prepared

I am sat here slowly sipping from a small glass of hard cider that I made myself. Is it truly good, or is it good because I made it? Hard to say as I am not really a connoisseur of fine ciders. Even still, I made alcohol. I have more (and varied types) brewing as I write this.
